Troops Detain Terrorists, Seize Weapons
Troops detained several terrorists and seized weapon caches during an operation west of Balad yesterday, according to officials in Iraq. Task Force Liberty soldiers captured one terrorist and seized three RPGs, nine RPG rounds, a mortar tripod, several rifles and two hand grenades while raiding suspected terrorist safe houses in Salah Ah Din province, and also killed one and wounded another terrorist after taking small-arms fire in Ad Duluiyah. Additionally, the task force detained six suspected terrorists and seized rifles, RPGs, grenades, a bulletproof vest, and a 130 mm projectile.
