Officials reported yesterday that terrorist Abu Zubair, a wanted member of al-Qaeda, was killed by Iraqi security forces in Mosul. Zubair, also known as Mohammed Salah Sultan, was a leader in the operations of known terrorist Abu Masub Zarqawi in the northern Iraqi city, where he was wanted in connection with a suicide bombing that killed five Iraqi police officers in July. Additionally, coalition forces captured three bombmakers and six foreign fighters, and also cleared 101 IEDs this past week.
