Rocket Attack on Troops in Jordan
A rocket attack damaged a warehouse in the vicinity of U.S. ships Ashland and the USS Kearsage in the Red Sea port of Aqaba, Jordan today, killing one Jordanian soldier and wounding another. Fortunately, no U.S. Marines or sailors were injured in the attack. The rocket was reportedly fired from a warehouse near the port, along with two other rockets which hit near a Jordanian hospital and in the Israeli city of Eilat. The rockets were said to be Katyusha rockets, which is apparently being used by a number of insurgents including those in Iraq.
No word yet on who’s responsible.
