Cindy Sheehan Goes Back to Crawford
In case you’re still listening, Huffington Post blogger Cindy Sheehan is going back to Crawford, Texas to President Bush’s ranch, stating that “As long as the president, who sent him to die in a senseless war, is in Crawford, that is where I belong.” Cindy went to Crawford two and a half weeks ago to confront the President and ask “What is the noble cause that he says my son died for?” in an attempt to convince Bush to end the war and bring home the troops to prevent more “meaningless deaths.” She concludes by saying that going back to Crawford is her duty for her son, her other children, other parents, and her country.
Most of the comments on Cindy’s blog were supportive, but others criticized her of milking her time in the spotlight: “Cindy… you’ve made a joke of yourself and your cause. You’ve fallen in love with the attention and have become drunk on your 15 minutes of fame. Respect your son. You are not bigger than what your won died for. He respectfully died for his country. God bless him.”
