Drew Carey Entertains Troops in Afghanistan
A group of comedians led by Drew Carey arrived at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan today to entertain troops, after spending most of yesterday meeting and greeting the Air Force’s 379th Expeditionary Wing in Southwest Asia yesterday. Carey, along with Dave Mordal, Jimmy Shubert, Steve Byrne, and Pedro Hernandez are scheduled to perform at Methar, Jalalabad, Asadabad, and Bagram bases in a tour organized by the Department of Defense’s Armed Forces Entertainment and America Supports You programs. The Armed Forces Entertainment often collaborates with the USO to bring talented performers, including jazz bands and Frisbee-catching dogs, to members of the armed forces living outside of the United States.
